When purchasing tickets, you will be redirected to PayPal for  Teri is our Walk Coordinator and all funds will accumulate in her PayPal, then be disbursed to Palmetto Warrior Connection.

The Walk for the Fallen & Those Who Serve
is an annual fundraising event sponsored by Black Force Mixed Martial Arts Academy and our partners to honor of veterans, both those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice, but also those who served with dignity and continue to serve in their local communities.  

Navy veteran and Black Force MMA owner, Dwight Decker, wanted to create an event that would raise money to help veterans.  This year we are partnering with the Palmetto Warrior Connection and other local small businesses to bring awareness to the difficulties veterans face when they return home and enter civilian life, including the 22 who commit suicide every day.

The Walk for the Fallen is a 25.5 mile grueling road march from Summerville, SC to Patriot's Point in Mount Pleasant.  Flags from all branches of service are carried the entire way, in addition to the Honor Flag bearing the names of hundreds of veterans who individuals wish to honor, through their donations.  A name will be added to the flag for a $5 donation.   There will be BBQ available after the event for the participants and their family members, offered by Carter-Que-ing BBQ. ****UPDATE****  Carter Que-ing will be providing a BBQ lunch for ALL walk participants - no matter the level you choose; however, Chief Participants and Teams will also receive 1 other meal for a guest.

We are seeking walk participants, volunteers, and sponsors!

PARTICIPANT LEVELS (you do not need to complete the entire event): 

RECRUIT PARTICIPANT - $15.00 + processing fee
Individual registration to participate in the walk.   You will receive an event T-shirt, BBQ lunch and be able to enter one name on the Honor Flag (additional names are donations of $5.00 each).

WARRIOR PARTICIPANT - $25.00 + processing fee
Individual registration to participate in the walk.  You will receive an event T-shirt and challenge coin, BBQ lunch and be able to enter one name on the Honor Flag (additional names are donations of $5.00 each). 

CHIEF PARTICIPANT - $35.00 + processing fee
Individual registration to participate in the walk.  You will receive an event T-shirt, challenge coin, swag bag, BBQ lunch and beer for you and 1 guest at the picnic.  In addition, you can add two names to the Honor Flag (additional names are donations of $5.00 each). 

TEAM PARTICIPANTS - $130.00 + processing fee
Team of 4 individuals, can be co-ed.  All members will receive event T-shirt, challenge coin, swag bag, and 1 BBQ dinner and beer at the picnic for each member and 1 guest.  Each member can add 1 name to the Honor Flag.

SPONSORSHIP IN KIND – This level is the most economical, you can either donate goods or services.   Email Teri Bradshaw ( with what you would like to donate.
Things to consider:  We start early.   Walkers would love coffee, juice, donuts/danish/bagels. It will be hot and the walkers will need nourishment and hydration throughout the day – water, Gatorade, protein bars, bananas, etc.  Walkers will have blisters and be sore.   Can you donate some moleskin, gauze, how about donating mini-massage services if you’re a massage therapist?  What about sweat towels?   Or, can you volunteer your time?  Willing to meet at check points to pass out water and food?  Bake Sale – sell goodies at the picnic after-party and donate proceeds to the event.   Donations for swag bags – small samples or inexpensive marketing items that are also useful to put in the participants bags?

RAFFLE DONATION – You can donate something with at least $50 value for our raffle.  Your company will be mentioned on event website and social media posts.

At this level your company name will be placed on the event T-shirt, mentioned on our website and social media posts as an advertisement.   Please provide your company logo and a donation for swag bags.

Same as above, but you will also be able to set up a booth at the picnic.  Great way to get your company known, and possible HR opportunities.

GOLD LEVEL - $500  (limit 4)
Same as above, but you will also get the opportunity to have your company’s banner displayed at one check point along the way.

PLATINUM LEVEL - $1000  (limit 1)
All of the above, but you would be the premier sponsor for the event, your banner will be displayed at all checkpoints in addition to all above marketing opportunities.
